Union Sunday
Sunday May 06, 2012
Sunday May 06, 2012
Rev. Marta Valentin May 6, 2012 The Unitarian Universalist Association meets each year in General Assembly to renew our vision and to allow our congregations to lead the business of our denomination. This year's meeting is being called "Justice GA" and will address questions about our nation's need for immigration reform. "Justice GA" is being touted as a paradigm-shiping, history-making, identity-defining event for Unitarian Universalists. Really? If so, then perhaps Unitarian Universalism has an opportunity to be a religion of our time by creating an authentic sanctuary for all. The First Unitarian Church of Baltimore is located at the corner of Charles and Franklin Streets in Downtown Baltimore. Worship services are held each Sunday at 11:00 a.m. For more information, visit our website or call the office, 410-685-2330.

The Cosmic Christ and Easter's Promise
Sunday Apr 08, 2012
Sunday Apr 08, 2012
Rev. David Carl Olson April 8, 2012 Some see divinity in the processes of the universe, in the creation and recreation that seem to infuse everything that lives. The Jesus story asks us to see creation even in things that die. The First Unitarian Church of Baltimore is located at the corner of Charles and Franklin Streets in downtown Baltimore. Playing the Fool
Sunday Apr 01, 2012
Sunday Apr 01, 2012
Rev. David Carl Olson April 1, 2012 Tricksters of many religious traditions overturn everyday expectations. Jesus makes a triumphal entrance into Jerusalem, by tradition, and within a few days all things are overturned. Foolish play may set creation--and our imaginations--free. The First Unitarian Church of Baltimore is located at the corner of Charles and Franklin Streets in downtown Baltimore. Worship services are held each Sunday at 11:00 a.m. For more information, visit our website or call the office at 410-685-2330.

Lloyd Hugh Allen March 25, 2012 The Ten Right Things are from the 2020 Vision All-Church Conference of 2011. This Sunday—usually for our Minister a week for considering the relationships among the United States and other countries of the Americas—is unfilled due to our congregation’s financial need to ask our Minister to take a furlough week without pay. The service is led by our Board of Trustees. The First Unitarian Church of Baltimore is located at the corner of Charles and Franklin Streets in downtown Baltimore. Worship services are held each Sunday at 11:00 a.m. For more information, visit our website or call the office, 410-685-2330.

Saints Preserve Us--and Ironic Iconoclasm
Sunday Mar 18, 2012
Sunday Mar 18, 2012
Rev. David Carl Olson March 18, 2012 What happens when a hero falls? What happens when we learn that the ones we admire are merely human (as we ourselves are!)? How do we restore hope in our hearts, and let all of us grow? (And how does an icon maker date an iconoclast?) The First Unitarian Church of Baltimore is located at the corner of Charles and Franklin Streets in downtown Baltimore. Worship services are held each Sunday at 11:00 a.m. For more information, visit our website or call the office, 410-685-2330.
