We seek to be powerful—able to enact a liberating vision—and we seek to be wise.

I hope that the seeds I plant in my garden will bear true. In time, I hope that they will produce beautiful blossoms that delight eye and nose (and occasionally tongue!). In a transformative system like a church, some of the “seeds” we plant produce unexpected “fruit.” How do we learn from our experiments and how do we change in order to grow?

Our church considers the meaning of resurrection—the expected renewal of Spring, and the unexpected renovation of who we are and who we dream we can become. If our Sunday-morning-aim is to rehearse the Rule and Realm of Universal Love, can we learn from resurrection stories the ways that our relatedness can set us free?
The First Unitarian Church of Baltimore is located at the corner of Charles and Franklin Streets in downtown Baltimore. Services are held every Sunday at 11 a.m. During the summer, weekly worship services are held in the Enoch Pratt Parish Hall at 514 N. Charles St starting at 10:00 a.m. each Sunday.
