Maryland is poised to affirm the law that will go into effect in 2013, which will allow persons of the same gender to marry. Our church stands for such equality, seeks to express such dignity and to embody more fully the Universal Love which sets us free to live purpose-driven lives.

The First Unitarian Church of Baltimore is located at the corner of Charles and Franklin Streets. in downtown Baltimore. Worship Services are held each Sunday at 11:00 am. For more information, visit our website www.firstunitarian.net or call the office, 410-685-2330.

We are committed to “ten right things” in our common life as a church, including building networks of caring, which share our talents and foster generosity. As we consider founding a Time Bank to which we may each contribute and from which we may receive, let us approach the opportunity with joy.

Spiritual practices from making meaning out of the latest movies, to listening to the music that speaks to our hearts, to expressing compassion to other living beings, to being intentional about the ways we walk the earth . . . these and other practices call us to a profound wisdom that may animate our lives, if only we can find a way to listen.

The DREAM Act, being considered for affirmation by the Maryland electorate, will allow high school youth to begin their young adult lives with the benefit of a community college education. Unitarians have, for centuries, supported public education as a foundation for a democratic society. Education is a prime guarantor of each person's fullest developement.
